What We Do

Kiwanis Club of Greater Lawrence and Foundation

We are a community service organization of about 40 members from Andover, Lawrence, Methuen, and North Andover, Massachusetts. Dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in the Merrimack Valley, we focus on making lasting differences through local service as part of the global Kiwanis movement.

What We Believe

Every child deserves safety, opportunity, education, and support from caring adults. We empower communities by serving kids close to home.

What We Do

Members volunteer time and energy to run programs and projects benefiting local children and youth:

• Bike Rodeos — teach bicycle safety and provide bikes/helmets
• Youth leadership & mentorship — including Key Club sponsorships (Andover High School) and Circle K involvement (Merrimack College)
• Scholarships — support graduating seniors pursuing higher education
• Community outreach — partner with schools, youth groups, and nonprofits to meet local needs

Key Scholarships & Awards

• Anthony Sakowich Scholarship — $2,000 annually to Notre Dame Cristo Rey Academy (Methuen) for college tuition/expenses
• Bruce Arnold Citizenship Award — $500 scholarships to seven high school seniors showing strong community involvement/volunteerism from: North Andover HS, Andover HS, Lawrence Vo-Tech, Methuen HS, Central Catholic HS, Abbot Academy, Notre Dame Cristo Rey

Service is our core. We work together to achieve more impact through hands-on projects, fundraising, and partnerships.
